Best NBA Playoff Specials for Western Conference
Naturally, you’re going to assume that the Warriors, Thunder, Spurs, Rockets and Timberwolves are making the playoffs. All of these teams are spring loaded with incredible talent, but they’re also getting pretty promising odds to make the playoffs in the Western Conference NBA playoff specials at BetOnline.ag.
Let’s look at the next five teams in the conference and hammer down on whether they make good bets to make the playoffs in 2018.

Will Dallas Mavericks Make Playoffs?
Yes +400 / No -500
The reason to bet against the Dallas Mavericks is simple: the Western Conference is absolutely stacked. But the Mavs have a way of worming up in to the top-8 when Rick Carlisle splices together some fascinating lineups. The main issue here, of course, is sheer talent. Dirk is in the twilight of his career but he’s surrounded by some exciting, young talent. Nerlens Noel is in a contract year while Dwight Powell and Harrison Barnes are serviceable role players. The whole system depends on how valuable incoming rookie point guard Dennis Smith Jr. is. To give you an idea of how credible his services are, some are projecting him as Rookie of the Year. If Dallas makes the playoffs, he’ll have to play at that level.
Will Los Angeles Clippers Make Playoffs?
Yes -170 / No +150
This one seems like a no brainer. On most Regular Season Win totals they look like they’re going to win just over half of their games, but most of the nerds are really advocating for the Clippers to be one of the big surprises of the league. Everything relies on how healthy Blake Griffin can stay for the season, which is a relative question mark. I mean, if you don’t think Griffin can stay on the court with an increased workload then the No at +150 is a real value play as well.
The reason you take Yes is out of sheer value. Los Angeles is predicted to have nearly 48 wins according to real-plus-minus stat sheets, which would be more than enough to get in to the playoffs.
“But what about Chris Paul?” Well talent has a way of filling voids sometimes and the Clippers are stacked with depth. The knee-jerk reaction to Paul’s departure was doom and gloom for the Clippers, but everything underneath the surface suggests that this team could very well be a threat. Do you believe?
Will Portland Trail Blazers Makes Playoffs?
Yes -120 / No +100
This is just a casual reminder that Portland’s backcourt duo of CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard are really, really good. And the acquisition of Jusuf Nurkic is one of the most underrated pickups by any team this year, mostly because it won’t make the Blazers true championship contenders. Because this is the biggest move Portland bothered to make, they’ve become an afterthought but a Yes play at -120 is just amazing value. Portland should and will be in the playoffs. Take advantage of this number that the oddsmakers have left out there before everyone else catches on. Nurkic is the perfect add for the Blazers.
Will Utah Jazz Make Playoffs
Yes +165 / No -190
Speaking of moves that people have seemed to forget, Ricky Rubio is in Utah. Why is this important? Because Rubio at his best is one of the top point guards in the league from a traditional standpoint. He is an electrifying passer and when he’s not asked to do the scoring, he’s as good as facilitators get. Coach Quin Snyder and the Utah Jazz are building up something very special in Utah, and the +165 you are getting to support them is a good value play. How you balance the Jazz out when the Blazers and Clippers depends on your own preferences.
