Prior to Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals, oddsmakers at [...] posted numbers on which player will be named the Most Valuable Player.

Unlike the last two finals where each team had one serious contender, this year's award is expected favoring a pair from Golden State.

Kevin Durant (5/7) has been made the odds-on favorite to repeat as NBA Finals MVP while Stephen Curry is the second choice at 17/10 odds (Bet $100 to win $170).

Curry has never captured the award with Durant winning last season and Andre Iguodala taking home the honors during Golden State's championship win in 2015.

Cleveland's top choice is LeBron James at 13/2 odds (Bet $100 to win $650) and that's not surprising since he's been named the MVP in all three of his NBA championship victories.
