NFL Betting Props – Cowboys vs. Eagles

It is an NFC East rivalry matchup on Sunday night on NBC, as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys season is on the brink, as they come into this game at 3-5 and two games out of first place in the division. On the other side, the Eagles are one game ahead at 4-4. This could be a defensive struggle, as both teams come into this game ranked in the Top 5 in fewest points allowed. Let’s look at some prop picks for this Week 10 matchup.

Date and Time: Sunday, November 11, 2018, 8:20 p.m. ET
Location: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
NFL Odds at BetDSI: Eagles -7, O/U 43
Cowboys vs. Eagles TV Coverage: NBC

Total Points Props
Dallas 18.5
Philadelphia 24.5

The oddsmakers look to have the numbers on these teams right on the money. I would lean to the over on Philadelphia, but that number of 24.5 is really tough, as a 24-14 final is a real possibility. Going under on Dallas may be the better choice on this prop.

First Team to Score
Dallas +130
Philadelphia -160

This number at first glance seems a little high. The Cowboys have had the tendency to start well and then flop. There could be some value in taking Dallas at +130 to score first.

Will Either Team Score in first 6.5 minutes?
Yes -105
No -125

The total on this game is one of the lowest of the week, so oddsmakers are not expecting a lot of scoring. Usually with this prop we look to take the Yes, but in this case, the No may have more value.

First Scoring Play
Cowboys Field Goal +350
Cowboys TD Pass +375
Cowboys TD Run +600
Cowboys Any Other TD +2500
Cowboys Safety +5000
Eagles Field Goal +275
Eagles TD Pass +275
Eagles TD Run +600
Eagles Any Other TD +2500
Eagles Safety +5000

I think we can hedge a little bit and take the Eagles to score first in this prop and go with the Eagles TD pass. If this one comes through we hit at +275. It gives us a bit of a hedge against the Cowboys scoring first on an earlier prop.

First Score of Game
Touchdown -160
Field Goal or Safety +130

Both teams have solid defenses, so you can make a case for taking the field goal or safety on this prop. The problem I have with doing that is that there is very little value at +130 and I don’t have a ton of confidence in the Dallas kicker.

Longest TD of Game - 40.5 Yards
Under -115
Over -115

Do you remember what the yards were on this prop last week? It was 51.5. The oddsmakers simply don’t like either of these teams to make a lot of big plays and the total on this game is in the 40’s. I think there is a lot of value in taking this prop under the total. Dallas doesn’t have any big playmakers other than Ezekiel Elliott and the Eagles really don’t have a game breaker. I like the Under in this prop.

Quarterback Props

The Under on the quarterback props looks to be the way to go in this game. Both teams have very good defenses, so this should be a low scoring game. I definitely would go under the total with Dak Prescott, as he has not shown he can put up big yardage totals. I am a little leery of going against Carson Wentz, as he has proven in the past he can put up solid numbers.

Cowboys vs. Eagles Props Picks

There are a lot of interesting props for this game on Sunday night. There are some props that give us some hedging opportunities in terms of scoring, but I think the best option is to take the longest play under the total. Dallas and Philadelphia simply don’t have many big play threats. The Cowboys have a poor passing attack and the Eagles don’t have a big play receiver. I think going under on the longest TD of the game is the best prop for Sunday night.
