UPDATE 8 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Los Angeles and Dallas split Games 1 and 2 in SoCal, then split Games 3 and 4 in Dallas. In that Game 4, the Clippers were fortunate to get out of Dallas with a 116-111 win Sunday. Los Angeles led by 31 in the second quarter and let the Mavs come all the way back.

In Game 5, the Mavericks rolled to a 123-93 road win to take a 3-2 series lead. So now, with the series heading back to Dallas on Friday night, it's Mavs -800/Clippers +550 in BetMGM's NBA First Round series odds.

"The public doesn't seem to believe in the Clippers at all. I can't say I blame them, after the Clippers almost blew that lead Sunday night," BetMGM trader Hal Egeland said.

In BetMGM's digital wagering (mobile/online), ticket count is 2.5/1 and money 6/1-plus on the Mavericks in series betting.

L.A.'s Kawhi Leonard (knee) missed Games 4 and 5, and he's already been ruled out for Game 6.
