2025 World Series Odds

Dodgers Repeat

LATEST UPDATE: The Los Angeles Dodgers were favorites in BetMGM's World Series odds before Game 1 and after every game that followed through the first four games. But the Toronto Blue Jays closed the gap by winning Game 4, then took over by claiming Game 5.

But the Dodgers closed by winning Games 6 and 7 on the road. Los Angeles erased a 3-0 deficit in the finale, tying the game at 4 on a Miguel Rojas home run in the top of the ninth inning.

Before Rojas' homer, the Blue Jays were -425 to win the World Series, with the Dodgers +300. After the homer, it was practically a pick 'em, at Toronto -115/L.A. -110.

Then Will Smith hit a two-out solo shot in the top of the 11th to put L.A. up 5-4. The Dodgers finished it off with a 6-3 double play in the bottom of the 11th, leaving Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. stranded out third.

"We won't know the full scope until Monday. But it looks like a solid result for BetMGM. The Jays money that came in on Game 7 turned us into Dodgers fans late," BetMGM senior trader Hal Egeland said moments after the season ended.

Los Angeles was on top of 2025 World Series odds board almost all season, opening +400. On the flip side, Toronto opened +6000 last October and came achingly close to winning it all.

In World Series MVP odds, the Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani and the Blue Jays' Guerrero were all the rage much of the postseason. But Yoshinobu Yamamoto was the no-doubt MVP after finishing off his sterling series by closing out Game 7.

Yamamoto opened +15000 in World Series MVP futures early in the postseason. But after winning Games 2 and 6, he'd moved all the way into +600. That was only behind Game 7 starter Ohtani (-105) and Guerrero (+130).

But Yamamoto's heroics landed the award.

"That's a small loser for us," Egeland said, noting Yamamoto's longer odds helped liability build up. "He had less handle than Vlad and Shohei, but ended up being a worse result."

Now, the page turns to 2026 World Series futures odds. No surprise, the Dodgers are +350 favorites at BetMGM. The New York Yankees are the +800 second choice, while Toronto is the +1800 eighth choice.

World Series Odds

The MLB World Series takes place in late October and is often referred to as the Fall Classic. World Series futures odds for each season are made shortly after the conclusion of the previous season, and sometimes even sooner.

Since the MLB regular season is the longest of the four major sports, bookmakers don’t make one team a decisive favorite over another prior to the season. You’ll usually see three to four teams have World Series Odds of +1000 or less.

The majority of the MLB teams will have future odds ranging from +1000 to +7000 or so. Then you start to get into longer shots, with some teams at +20000 (200/1) or more.

How Do I Bet On The World Series?

It’s very simple to bet on the World Series, since the MLB futures odds market is always open for business. To figure out your Win Amount, a bettor would take the betting odds offered on a team and multiply by the amount wagered.

For example: The Yankees are +700 (7/1) to win the World Series. A $100 wager would profit $700, for a total payout of $800.
