2020 MLB Rookie of the Year Odds |
What is the Rookie of the Year award?
The Rookie of the Year award is handed out in both the American and National League at the conclusion of each Major League Baseball season. The honor goes to the top first year player, regardless of position. To qualify, players must have less than 45 days on an active roster before September 1 and players are eligible even if they played in a professional league outside of Major League Baseball, as long as they adhere to the rookie rule.

Who will win the National League Rookie of the Year Award?
The Los Angeles Dodgers are not only one of the model franchises in Major League Baseball, but its minor league system has put out plenty of stars over the years. Since the Rookie of the Year Award was introduced in 1947, the Dodgers' franchise has seen 18 rookies capture the honor, including Corey Seager in 2016 and Cody Bellinger in 2017. Another Dodgers' phenom is expected to do big things in his rookie season as Gavin Lux made his Major League debut last September. The shortstop is listed at 5/2 odds (Bet $100 to win $250) to pick up the award, while Arizona Diamondbacks' catcher Daulton Varsho sits at 4/1 betting odds.
