TNT Thursday is here once again, and we have some rivals going at it as the Celtics host the Knicks at 7:30 PM ET, and the Mavs face the Suns in Phoenix at 10:00 PM ET on Jan. 26.
Let's get right into the betting odds.
TNT Thursday Odds
Note: Odds and lines described below are accurate as of 9:25 AM ET on Jan. 26. For the most up-to-date TNT Thursday odds and lines, please see chart above.
In the first matchup of the night, the Celtics are big 8.5-point favorites at home against the Knicks. At FanDuel Sportsbook, a wager on Boston or NY ATS is listed at -110. For the moneyline, it's -360 for the Celtics and +290 for the Knicks.
The over/under is set at 223.5, with a price of -110 either way.
In the late TNT Thursday game, we have a much more narrow spread, as the Suns are 1.5-point favorites at home over the Mavs. A wager on Phoenix against the spread is listed at 108, while one on Dallas ATS is a bit more expensive at -112. As for the moneyline, you're looking at -118 for the Suns and +100 (even money) for the Mavs.
The over/under is set at 222, with a price of -110 either way.
- Nov. 5: Celtics 133 - Knicks 118, Celtics -4, O226.5
Although the Knicks (26-23 SU, 25-22-2 ATS) are coming off a big win over the Cavs, they're still a sizeable underdog in this one. To be fair, they are the Knicks, and, more importantly, they've dropped four of five straight up and against the spread.
It's not the fault of RJ Barrett, though, who has upped his production over his last five, averaging 24.4 points on 47.8 percent shooting, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per during that span.
NY will need that and more against a Celtics team (35-14 SU, 25-23-1 ATS) that is still very strong despite some slippage of late. Of course, injuries have played a major role in their recent play, but they seem to be almost at full health now.
Jaylen Brown is slated to make his return, as Marcus Smart is the biggest name on the injury report.
So, yeah, that spread makes sense.
- Oct. 19: Suns 107 - Mavericks 105, Mavericks +4, U218.5
- Dec. 5: Mavericks 130 - Suns 111, Mavericks -3.5, O223
Long story short, these two teams hate each other.
There's no getting around that.
Unfortunately, we're not getting the full matchup here, as Devin Booker and Cameron Payne, among others, remain out for the Suns (25-24 SU, 26-23 ATS), while Maxi Kleber and Christian Wood won't play for the Mavs (25-24 SU, 16-31-2 ATS).
But, hey, at least we have Luka Dončić, right?
Although Dallas has dropped five of six SU and ATS, Dončić has still been masterful.
Phoenix, meanwhile, has won four in a row SU and ATS thanks to Mikal Bridges.
Will Bridges be enough to stave off the Mavs, or will Luka ball out and get a victory against the narrow spread?
Time will tell.
