Mexico makes debut under new coach
August 11, 2008
LOS ANGELES (AP) -The Mexican national team, under new coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, will face the Chilean national team in a friendly on Sept. 24 at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
The match will be the first for Mexico in the Los Angeles area since last October, when Guatemala won 3-2 before a crowd of 42,349 at the Coliseum. Mexico and Chile will be facing each other for the first time since playing a scoreless draw on July 17, 2007, in Venezuela.
