England's World Cup bid unveils new sponsor

LONDON (AP) -England says British Telecom is the first main sponsor backing the bid to host the World Cup in 2018 or 2022.
British Telecom will provide financial and marketing support as well as providing communications details for the final bid submission to FIFA in May.
England 2018 chief executive Andy Anson said Friday that ``the support of BT is an extremely significant step forward for us as it shows tremendous confidence in England's bid.''
British Telecom also sponsors the London 2012 Olympics.
