World Baseball Classic Odds

The 2013 World Baseball Classic begins in March as 16 teams look to win the championship.
In the first round, the 16 teams are divided into four pools of four teams. These games take place between Mar. 2 and Mar. 10.
Pool A - Japan, China, Cuba, Brazil
Pool B - Korea, Netherlands, Australia, Chinese Taipei
Pool C - Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Spain
Pool D - United States, Mexico, Italy, Canada
After playing in a Round Robin format the top two teams from each pool advance to the second round, where a double-elimination format takes place. These games take place between Mar. 8 and Mar. 16.
Pool 1 - Pool A vs. Pool B from Tokyo, Japan
Pool 2 - Pool C vs. Pool D from Miami, Florida
The top two teams from Pool 1 and Pool 2 will advanced to the Championship Round for a single elimination format from San Francisco, California. These games take place between Mar. 17 and Mar. 19.

Japan defeated Cuba 10–6 in 2006, earning the right to be crowned the first champion of the World Baseball Classic. In 2009, Japan won its second straight Classic championship by defeating South Korea 5-3 in extra innings.
