Michigan State vs Indiana

Michigan State and Indiana finish up the regular season today in Bloomington as both teams are looking to improve their Big 10 tournament seeding.

The Spartans are currently tied for 6th in the Big 10 with Iowa at 10-9, while the Hoosiers are 8th at 9-10 in league play.

Indiana has played better of late by winning three straight games, including back-to-back road underdog victories at Maryland and Wisconsin.

Michigan State staved off Northwestern in its home finale, 53-49 to end a three-game slide.

Indiana is finally playing well at the end of the season, but has been too inconsistent all year long.

Let's lay the short number with Michigan State to cash at Indiana.

Pick: Michigan State -3.5 (-110)

Illinois vs Iowa

Iowa Hawkeyes +1.5 (-110)

This projects to be a very high scoring game for two teams that are happy to play that way. In this situation we like Iowa to get revenge from their loss at Illinois.

Unranked Iowa is just a small home dog vs #12 Illinois. Unranked home teams who are between 2-point favorites and 4-point dogs vs top 25 teams are 444-346 ATS.

Illinois had a three-game winning streak snapped with a loss hosting Purdue. Road teams coming off having a 3+ game winning streak snapped at home by a top 25 team are 79-125 ATS.

That was not as high-scoring of a loss as most of their games. Illinois' games have gone OVER by an average of 8.6 ppg on average this season. Major conference teams in at least game 15 of the season with an average OU margin on the season of at least +8 ppg are 135-170 ATS.

Iowa is coming off an 87-80 win over Northwestern. Iowa is 12-0 ATS Since March 2018 when the total is at least 148 coming off a win where they allowed at least 80 points.

They had 25 assists in the win. Major conference teams with at least 25 assists last game are 303-241 ATS. Also, Iowa is 8-0 ATS since 2021 when they had at least 25 assists last game.

And that was paired with just 5 turnovers. Teams that had at least 25 assists and no more than seven turnovers last game are 116-93 ATS.

When these teams met two weeks ago it was very high scoring with Illinois winning 95-85. Iowa is 10-0 ATS since 2020 facing a team not ranked in the top 3 who they allowed at least 83 points to in an earlier same-season meeting.
