UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards once again silenced naysayers and cemented his reign as welterweight king with a unanimous decision victory over Colby Covington. Edwards has defended his title twice now and is on a 12-fight winning streak in the UFC.
In the other championship fight from Las Vegas, Nevada at UFC 296, bettors watched Alexandre Pantoja showcase his technical mastery in a dominant rematch against Brandon Royval. It was almost a clean 50-45 sweep on the scorecards but one judge gave Royval one round (49-46).
Shavkat Rakhmonov (-600) and Paddy Pimblett (-334) both cashed as heavy favorites winning by submission and decision respectively.
