Odds Subject to Change

Arizona enters this game as a -2-point home favorite. Neither school covers the spread particularly well, as Oregon is 7-8 on the ATS while Arizona has failed to cover the spread in 12 of 20 games.

The point total is set at 146.5, which both schools tend to lean OVER on. Arizona has gone OVER the point total in 11 of 20 games, while Oregon has gone OVER in 10 of 15 games this season.

Betting Analysis – Oregon Ducks

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 11-4
  • ATS: 7-8
  • SU - Home: 7-2
  • SU - Away: 4-2
  • O/U: 10-5

Oregon has yet to find consistency this season, as COVID-19 has made a mess of the Ducks' schedule. They are just 3-3 SU over their last six games, missing pretty much the entire month of January.

After winning two straight, Oregon now faces Arizona in a tough road game. The offenses are both very good in this matchup, with Oregon averaging 76.3 points per game which ranks 74th in the nation.

Chris Duarte is back as well, as Oregon is 2-0 since his return. His performance may very well decide Oregon's fate in Tucson, scoring 23 points or more in three straight games before getting hurt. He has scored 11 points and 18 points in both games since returning, so his offensive output is trending upwards as he sees more action.

Eugene Omoruyi is the other Duck that averages 17 points per game, although Eric Williams and L.J. Figueroa each average over 10 points per game and over six rebounds.

These four players are the main catalysts for Oregon's production, performing at a very high level with both N'Faly Dante and Will Richardson on the shelf most of the season.

However, Richardson is back and playing at a highly efficient rate. In the three games since his return, Richardson is averaging 14.7 points and 4.3 assists per game - already leading the team in the latter.

So despite the 'start-and-stop' schedule, array of injuries and overall inconsistent season from Oregon - they have just been given two shots in the arm with both Duarte and Richardson on the court together.

Betting Analysis – Arizona Wildcats

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 14-6
  • ATS: 8-12
  • SU - Home: 10-3
  • SU - Away: 4-3
  • O/U: 11-9

The Wildcats self-imposed postseason ban hasn't stopped this team from competing at a high level, especially on offense. Arizona averages 77.3 points per game which ranks 61st in the nation, while also touting an offensive efficiency rating of 110.3 which ranks 41st in the nation.

James Akinjo is the leading scorer for Arizona, while also seeing a team-high 5.5 assists per game. Since Jemarl Baker has been inactive, Akinjo has done a superb job stepping in as the team's key playmaker. It doesn't stop there however.

Bennedict Mathurin and Azuolas Tubelis are two freshmen who have stepped up tremendously as well. The young duo average over 11 points per game, with Tubelis leading the team in rebounds per game.

There are two huge offensive stats that stand out in regards to the Wildcats' success, which are free throws and three-pointers. Arizona ranks third nationally in free throws attempted per game (25.4), while also ranking second nationally in free throws made per game (18.3). They also rank 35th in three-point percentage (38%).

Oregon-Arizona Predictions

It's hard to trust either team covering, although Arizona given a small -2-point spread at home seems fine to take. Oregon is just a bit unpredictable to bet on or against. The point total has more conviction based on the team's style of playing, combined with the point total trends.

As mentioned earlier, both schools tend to lean OVER on the point total. The schools are a combined 21-14 on the O/U, each averaging over 75 points per game. Both teams touching the 70-point mark would probably see the OVER hit (with a few added buckets). Although it is a bit high, taking the OVER is playing the 21-14 odds correctly.

  • Score Prediction: Arizona 76 Oregon 71
  • Best Bets: OVER
