NASCAR Shriners Children’s 500 Picks, Predictions, Odds

Three different drivers have been in the winner's circle to begin the 2024 NASCAR season.

William Byron captured the Daytona 500, followed by Daniel Suarez winning in Atlanta, capped off by Kyle Larson picking up a victory in Las Vegas last week.

Byron is the defending champion at the first Phoenix race, staving off Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick.

Phoenix Raceway is the location for the fourth race of the season for the newly sponsored Shriners Children's 500, formerly known as the United Rentals Work United 500 in 2023.

NASCAR EXPERT BETS - SHRINERS CHILDREN'S 500

For this week's Shriners Children’s 500 on Sunday March 10, 2024 from Phoenix Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona, our auto racing experts are focusing on the below individuals:

Denny Hamlin Race Winner (+900)

With the new package and bodies for Toyota and Ford, I don't plan on betting a lot of outrights early in the week. With that said, I'm high on Toyota heading into the week, and I think there is some value with Bell and Hamlin. Hamlin has struggled with speed at Phoenix in the Next Gen car, but he's one of the best short-flat track racers in NASCAR. Despite his struggles at Phoenix, Hamlin still ranked 1st in speed on short-flat tracks last season. I wouldn't bet this one under 9/1.

Christopher Bell Race Winner (+1100)

With the new package and bodies for Toyota and Ford, I don't plan on betting a lot of outrights early in the week. With that said, I'm high on Toyota heading into the week, and I think there is some value with Bell and Hamlin. During the off-season test of the new package, Toyota was by far the fastest of the manufacturers. Bell ranked 4th in speed last spring in Phoenix and ranks 5th in speed here in the Next Gen car. I had a lot of interest in Toyota and without practice, my model is showing value on Bell at this price. I wouldn't bet this under 10/1.
