The stakes action on Friday kicks off early, which might be a good thing as there is a chance we could see a few late afternoon thundershowers.
The second race on Friday's ten race card is the $100,000 Summer Guest, a 1 1/8 miles race for three-year-old fillies which have never won a graded stake.
A field of seven will line up including the Todd Pletcher trained Ciao Bella (2-1), who is undefeated in two career starts.
The filly came off a seven month layoff to beat first level allowance foes at Monmouth Park on July 29 in her last outing.
Her main rival will likely be Moment in Dixie, who is coming off a runner up finish in the Serena's Song at Monmouth Park.
The fourth race today is the $150,00 Yaddo, a 1 1/16 mile turf test for New York bred fillies and mares.
The race looks as if it may be a bit on the chalky side as Gitchee Goomie returns to the New York bred ranks after a smart looking victory in the Penny Memorial Handicap (G3) at Parx Racing.
Don't forget we have a big day of racing coming up on Saturday.
There are a couple of Grade 1 races at Saratoga, the $600,000 Alabama and $600,000 Sword Dancer, and there are a trio of Grade 1's on the betting menu at Arlington Park including the Arlington Million.

Analysis: Sense of Reality makes her debut for the Tony D. barn that is 19% winners with first tie starters. The $45K Keeneland purchase is by Street Sense (9% winners with debut runners from a limited sampling) out of the stakes placed Ascot Toie ($116K) who has dropped five foals to race, four winners, top earner Consolidator Joe ($242K). I generally like to back this barn second time out but that bullet drill on Aug. 13 out of the gate looks like this gal is ready to go at first asking.
Unabashed is a $200K Keeneland purchase being sent out by the Pletcher barn that is really firing with his juveniles at the meeting here, winning with 11 of his first 26 (42%) juvie debut runners at the meet. The filly is by Elusive Quality (15% winners with debut runners) out of the stakes winner Golden Temper ($347K) who has dropped a couple of winners, top earner Good Time Sally ($122K). The filly has a solid string of works and the main knock is going to be the short price.

Analysis: Gitchee Goomie returns to the state breds ranks where she is so tough after winning the Penny Memorial 'Cap (G3) last out. The runner up Hessonite came out of the race to win the state bred Irish Linnet in her next start and the third place finisher Julie's Love came back to win the restricted De la Rose in her next outing here on Aug. 4. The Rick Violette runner has landed in the exacta in 16 of her 19 starts on turf and has never missed facing state breds.
Hessonite is coming off a sharp win in the Irish Linnet over yielding footing here on July 27, her fifth win on turf in 11 career trips. She finished behind our top pick two and three back, but did beat her last fall at Belmont Park. She might hold a slight edge if the turf comes up with some give to it, but would like to see her price drift up a few points to actually back her to beat Gitchee Goomie at equal weights.
