2026 AFC Championship Odds
Then There Were Two
LATEST UPDATE: The New England Patriots (16-3) are the AFC's No. 2 seed. But they overtook the Denver Broncos (15-3) as favorites in BetMGM's AFC Championship odds, due to Wild Card Weekend matchups.
New England had the perceived more favorable matchup, at home against Houston. Denver was also at home, but against Josh Allen and Buffalo.
Both the Patriots and Broncos advanced. New England topped Houston 28-16, and Denver edged Buffalo 33-30 in overtime.
All things being equal, that would've led to another flip of favorites, with Denver favored in odds to win the AFC title. But things aren't equal.
On one of the final plays of the Bills-Broncos game, QB Bo Nix suffered a fracture in his ankle. Nix finished the game, but he's done for the season.
So the Pats moved from +230 favorites all the way to -275 favorites at BetMGM. Denver's odds also improved, but only from +280 to +225, with all the Broncos' hopes now on backup QB Jarrett Stidham's shoulders.
The ticket count leaderboard for BetMGM's AFC championship odds, not including teams eliminated, some of whom have more bets than active teams:
- Broncos
- Patriots
The Bills have more tickets than the Broncos or Patriots.
Money leaders among the two remaining teams:
- Broncos
- Patriots
Denver was No. 1 in money before the Divisional Round and remains so. But several eliminated teams are ahead of the Patriots in money, including the Bills, Texans, Ravens, Chiefs and Steelers.
The Broncos are the largest liability for BetMGM.
