NFC championship futures odds for 2026-27 are picking up steam, with the season underway and the favorite getting smoked in Week 1.

The Los Angeles Rams entered the season atop 2026-27 NFC futures odds and Super Bowl odds. L.A. remains the favorite in both, despite a blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the opener.

2027 NFC Championship Futures Odds

L.A. Letdown

LATEST UPDATE: The Los Angeles Rams opened as +450 favorites in BetMGM's NFC futures odds. Then they added sackmaster Myles Garrett on June 1, and just before the season, Aaron Donald unretired to rejoin the team.

So ahead of Week 1, the Rams were into +350. But Los Angeles then got thumped by the San Francisco 49ers 27-7 in a neutral-site game at Melbourne, Australia. BetMGM responded by nudging L.A. out to the +400 favorite.

The defending NFC and Super Bowl champ Seattle Seahawks are the +550 second choice, inching in from +600.

Prior to Week 1, the Niners were the +900 co-third choice, along with the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. But after blasting the Rams, San Fran is the +600 solo third choice.

Philly follows at +750, then Detroit at +800.

BetMGM also took a notable offseason wager on the Dallas Cowboys in NFC Championship odds. A customer put $10,0000 on Dallas +1600, for a potential profit of $160,000.

Dallas entered Week 1 at +1200, but slipped to +1400 after a road loss to the New York Giants. The G-Men are now into +2800, after opening +4000 and entering Week 1 at +3500.

Tickets and Money

Last year, the Chicago Bears went on an 11-2 stretch at one point and ultimately finished the regular season at 11-6. Then the Bears mounted a huge comeback from a 21-3 deficit to beat the Packers in an NFC Wild Card matchup.

Chicago followed by nearly upsetting the Rams in the NFC Divisional Round. The Bears miraculously forced overtime on a Caleb Wilson-Cole Kmet connection in the waning seconds of regulation, but lost 20-17.

Still, bettors have since been taken in by the Bears, who are No. 1 in tickets in BetMGM's NFC futures odds market. Chicago opened +1400 and was +1300 prior to Week 1, then went out and plastered the host Carolina Panthers 59-37.

Oddsmakers were impressed, adjusting the Bears to the +1000 sixth choice. The top five in ticket count in BetMGM's 2026-27 NFC futures odds:

The Seattle Seahawks are the defending NFC champions, and they opened as +500 co-favorites to repeat in the 2026-27 season. The Los Angeles Rams, the runner-up in 2025-26, join Seattle at +500.
