UPDATE 6:15 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: After a stunning blowout home loss in Game 2, Boston got back on track by winning Game 3 at Cleveland. Then the Celtics took Game 4 in Cleveland, as well, winning 109-102 as 11.5-point favorites.

So the Celtics hold a 3-1 series lead (2-2 ATS) as they head home for tonight's Game 5. BetMGM doesn't even have a full offering on the board for Cavaliers vs Celtics series odds. You can bet Cleveland at +10000 (100/1), but there's no number on favored Boston.

Not that BetMGM's risk room is concerned by that.

"We were happy to see the Cavs get a win, to clear the liability on the Celtics to sweep," BetMGM trader Hal Egeland said. "We'd like another Cavs win to extend it to six games, to get rid of some money on the Under 5.5 games market. But the Cavs have done enough for us already."

As for Game 5, BetMGM toggled between Celtics -15.5 and -14.5 at various juice over the past two days. With tipoff 45 minutes out, it's Boston -15.5 (-115). One reason for the big spread: Cleveland is without star Donovan Mitchell, among others, for Game 5.

In national digital wagering (mobile/online), bettors are playing the underdog anyway. The Cavs are 69% of spread bets/65% of spread money, and on the moneyline, it's 89% Cavs bets/78% Cavs money.
