Maryland has not lost since falling to then-No. 1 Kentucky 72-69 in the season opener. The Terrapins have their best record entering ACC play since 1998-1999 when they were 13-1. It is also Maryland's longest winning streak in 10 years.

Sean Esposito had 16 points and Lyonell Gaines added 14 points for IUPUI (6-12). Donovan Gibbs also scored 13 points and Greg Rice had 12 points for IUPUI (6-12).

Gaines scored six consecutive points to give IUPUI a 14-3 lead with 14:38 left in the first half. Maryland responded with a 20-5 run over the next 7:06 and led 23-19. The Terrapins remained in control and a layup by Dez Wells with one second remaining increased the margin to 41-34 at the break.

The Terrapins' bench outscored the Jaguars 22-0 and eight players had at least one field goal.

Maryland continued to distance itself in the second half and a dunk by Alex Len provided the first double-digit lead, 48-27, with 17:47 remaining. Shaquille Cleare scored six consecutive points and a pair of 3-pointers by Pe'Shon Howard and Nick Faust boosted the Terrapins' lead to 62-46 with 11:28 left.

A dunk and free throw by Allen provided a 78-54 lead with 3:57 left and Maryland was not threatened the rest of the way. The Terrapins begin their conference schedule Saturday against visiting Virginia Tech.
