MILWAUKEE (AP) - Tone Boyle scored 28 points and Anthony Hill added a double-double as Wisconsin-Milwaukee knocked Valparaiso out of first place in the Horizon league with a 79-76 victory Wednesday night.
Hill finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers (16-11, 11-5), who have won seven straight.
Brandon Wood scored 23 points and Ryan Broekhoff had 21 for the Crusaders (19-8, 11-4) who dropped half a game behind Cleveland State.
Tied at 74, Tony Meier put Milwaukee ahead with a three-point play with 47 seconds to go.
Valparaiso then missed three 3s on its next possession before Howard Little hit two free throws to make it a one-point game with 20 seconds to play. After Meier missed two foul shots, the Crusaders got up two shots, but both missed and the Panthers prevailed.
