Champions Tour adds Montreal Championship

MONTREAL (AP) -The PGA Tour and Synchro Sports have reached a three-year deal for a Champions Tour event at Fontainebleau Golf Club in Boisbriand.
The inaugural 54-hole Montreal Championship, featuring a 78-player field, will be played July 2-4 at the ClubLink course designed by Graham Cooke and Darrell Huxham.
Synchro Sports will serve as the host organization and tournament promoter.
``With the enthusiasm I think we have, I believe it will be a huge success,'' Champions Tour president Michael Stevens said Thursday. ``I think we'll be here for a while.''
