GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Put the Kansas City Royals inside Camelback Ranch, and suddenly the hits and runs keep coming.

Jose Guillen had four hits of the Royals' 19 hits in a 10-8 win against the White Sox at Chicago's spring training home Sunday.

In the Royals' three games in Glendale this month - two with Chicago and one against the Los Angeles Dodgers - they scored 27 runs and had 51 hits.

Wilson Betemit and Scott Thorman homered for the Royals. Thorman, Betemit, Chris Getz and Mitch Maier had two hits each.

The White Sox, playing with a split squad, scored four runs in the fourth inning, led by designated hitter Carlos Quentin.

Quentin, who was hit by a pitch twice in the game, drilled a two-run home run. Former Royal Mark Teahen started the rally with a double and scored on the home run, and the White Sox tacked on doubles by A.J. Pierzynski and Brent Lillibridge.

The White Sox got to Royals starter Luke Hochevar, who was done after five innings and allowed nine hits and five earned runs, walking three.

``Scratch that one out,' Hochevar said. ``Overall, physically I feel good, so that's the main thing right now.'

White Sox starter Daniel Hudson, still hoping to win a relief pitcher spot on the Chicago White Sox major-league roster, didn't help his cause much.

The 23-year-old right-hander allowed three earned runs on four hits in the first inning. He settled down over his next two innings, but saw his earned-run average jump to 5.06.

Three of Chicago's major-league relievers, Scott Linebrink, Matt Thornton and J.J. Putz, combined for three shutout innings.

Notes: White Sox backup catcher Ramon Castro suffered a bruised right heel rounding first base on a double in Chicago's split-squad game Sunday against Texas. He is day-to-day and will be re-evaluated Monday White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said he hopes the club can finalize the opening day roster in the next couple of days, and that in his mind, reliever Sergio Santos, who has never appeared in a major-league regular-season game, has made the 25-man roster. Royals right-hander Gil Meche threw his first bullpen session since last pitching on March 22 because of a stiff shoulder and neck. He threw 63 pitches Sunday. Meche said his shoulder felt fine after the four-inning session and he used all of his pitches. If Meche has no setbacks this week, the Royals plan for him to pitch Saturday in the final exhibition game, against the Texas Rangers. White Sox second baseman Gordon Beckham said his strained abdominal muscle was not bothering him after he took ground balls at the Chicago complex prior to playing against Texas.
