Bulls vs Pacers

by Michael Crosson

The Bulls have posted terrible numbers at the offensive end of the floor in their last two games. Chicago enters tonight having scored 102 points or less in back-to-back contests, which is somewhat par for the course for a Bulls team that ranks 25th in scoring and 29th in pace on the season.

With that in mind though, the severe lack of scoring has been a little bit surprising given their recent track record. Since February 1, the Bulls have averaged 113 points per game across 16 contests – while defensively, surrendering an average north of 116 points; which ranks 16th in points scored and 24th in points allowed during that timeframe.

Prior to their latest two-game stretch, the Bulls had scored 113+ points in four of their last five matchups, while scoring 119+ in three of them – and on the flip side, they also happened to allow 113+ points in four of those five games, while surrendering 117+ in three of them.

All of that just to say, the total for this matchup may be fairly set for an average run-of-the-mill Bulls game. But that is not what they are facing this Wednesday.

Tonight, Chicago faces a Pacers team that leads the entire NBA in scoring at 123 points per game. While defensively, the Pacers rank 28th in scoring at 121 points allowed per game – equating to the second-fastest pace of play in the league this season.

With that said, the Pacers have fallen off the wagon a little bit in the scoring department recently, having scored 111 points or less in four of their last six games. However, three of the four matchups that they stayed under that number came against opponents ranking in the bottom-half of the league in pace, and they still managed to score 120+ points in two of the aforementioned six contests.

Prior to their latest six-game stretch, the Pacers scored 122+ points in five straight games – and even including their most recent string of outings, they’ve allowed 111+ points in 14 of their last 15 contests overall. Give me the over in Indiana tonight.

Lakers vs Kings

by Nick Parsons

Los Angeles Lakers Moneyline (-120)

Just a really great spot for the Lakers. The Kings come in off a big 129-94 win over the Bucks just last night, and I believe they're primed for a letdown here now facing this improved Lakers team.

LA is arguably playing its best basketball of the season right now. The Lakers are even having AD show flashes of his former self right now.

LA has won three of its last four as well, including back-to-back wins over the Bucks and Wolves. The one loss in that time was a 130-120 setback to these very Kings.

Note though that the Lakers are 7-3 ATS in their last ten in trying to avenge a SU/ATS home loss as a favorite vs. an opponent.

I'm saying bypass the spread option, just take LA to win this one straight-up on the MONEY-LINE.
