We enter week 13 of the NFL, with only five weeks remaining in the super contest. We’re in crunch time with contestant’s jockeying for position. The top 20 spots are in the money, with the overall winner collecting a record $207,000. The leader board is tight, as we take a look at the top four consensus plays for this weekend.
New England is the top pick this week. The Patriots are plus four against the Indianapolis Colts. There are 117 contestants that picked the Patriots this week. You can’t really disagree with the selection, as the road underdogs are an impressive 8-2-1 ATS this season.
The Philadelphia Eagles, who have won and covered six straight games are the second highest pick. The Birds are catching 1 ˝-points on road in Carolina. There are 94 contestants on Andy Reid’s troops.
Baltimore comes in as the third highest selection, with 87 players choosing the Ravens against San Francisco. Baltimore is tabbed a 2 1/2-point home ‘chalk’ against the Niners.
The last consensus play is on the Cincinnati Bengals as 2 1/2-point road underdogs to Pittsburgh. There are 76 gamblers going against the Steelers this Sunday.
The Gamblers Challenge:
This Stations Casino contest has a very tight race for the consensus plays this week. Players are backing underdogs this time of the year.
Philadelphia Eagles (plus 1 1/2) was chosen 35 times as a road underdog against the Carolina Panthers.
Next, 33 gamblers selected Baltimore as a 2-˝ point home favorite over the San Francisco 49ers as the second highest consensus pick.
New England fills the third spot as a four-point road underdog against Indy. There were 32 players on this selection.
Surprisingly, the final consensus play was on Jacksonville as a 3 1/2-point home underdog against Tampa Bay. The Jaguars had 24 contestants picking them on Sunday night.
