Hilton SuperContest:
This blockbuster event is heading into Week 16 with a ton of cash at stake. First place will win over $200,000 with second earning just over $80,000, while the third-place contestant will collect over $40,000 in prize money.
Here is a look at the top four consensus plays for Week 16.
The Buffalo Bills have the top spot in a pick 'em game at home versus the Miami Dolphins. We had 110 contestants on the Bills in what should be a cold-weather matchup in Buffalo.
The hard-fighting Jacksonville Jaguars are the second choice in another pick 'em game at home against the New Orleans Saints. Jacksonville was picked 102 times and has won its last three home games.
The Minnesota Vikings get the third nod as 2 1/2-point home underdogs versus the Kansas City Chiefs. We had 93 players backing the Vikings inside at the Metrodome. Kansas City dropped its last road game at Denver, 45-27.
The not-for-long defending champions, the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, are the fourth pick with 83 people going with the Bucs at home giving seven to the lowly Falcons.
The Gamblers Challenge:
This Station Casinos contest is winding down as well with just two weeks left to go. Here are the top plays in the contest for this week. The Buffalo Bills get the top spot here as well, with 40 contestants backing the Bills over the Miami Dolphins. The Jaguars are second at pick 'em over the visiting Saints. We had 36 gamblers taking Jags. The Tampa Bay Bucs are the contests' third choice with 34 people thinking they cover seven at home against Atlanta. The cover-crazy New England Patriots on the road in the Meadowlands come in the fourth spot. We had 30 contestants taking the Pats over the New York Jets minus three.
The Stardust Invitational:
This long standing Las Vegas football contest concludes this Friday night in the Sports Book. We have Steve Fessik and David Stratton slated to go at it in the finals. Each contestant will have seven selections with a best bet for the top prize of $10,000.
Bob Scucci, Race and Sports Book Manager at the Stardust, had this to say “We have had our most successful year of the contest, drawing our biggest crowds ever on Friday nights at the Sports Book”
Our top-two finalists have made it here in different fashion. “Fessik has had many unpopular selections this season ,and Stratton was our longest shot on the board to win at around 20-1.” said Scucci. Some offshore books had set odds on who would win the competition.
