Injured Manca OK to return to Italy

SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) -Hospital officials in Chile say motorcyclist Luca Manca has recovered enough from injuries suffered at the Dakar Rally to return to Italy for treatment.
Doctors at Mutual de Seguridad Hospital said Tuesday they expected the 29-year-old Manca to return to Italy in the next two days.
Manca suffered life-threatening head injuries on Jan. 7 when he fell from his bike in northern Chile. He was airlifted to Santiago and placed in an induced coma.
