COMMENTS: MY PRINCESS JESS has won her last three starts, with improving late speed rations (LSRs) of +1, +2 and +5. She loves to win and should be able to handle whatever kind of turf she gets on Saturday. PURE CLAN and ARIEGE form a potent entry. Pure Clan is undefeated on the grass, while Ariege is a Grade I winner on dirt and won her 2008 bow impressively on the lawn. ALWAJEEHA almost defeated the top pick last time and could improve today.

COMMENTS: Trainer Bob Baffert appears to hold all the cards here. Although he would probably prefer to keep INDIAN BLESSING sprinting, the lack of opportunities dictates the daughter of Indian Charlie try a distance of ground again — and, judging by her last two races, she may be up to the task. Frankly, her last route try wasn’t that bad either, as the -11 LSR she earned in a loss to Zaftig in the Acorn on June 7 was actually better than the pair of -12s he picked up in her latest two sprint wins. TOUGH TIZ’S SIS has been improving and nearly beat the great Zenyatta in the Vanity on July 5. LITTLE BELLE always gives a great effort.
