It was another profitable evening with my top picks on Thursday, with three winners on top in the eight races from Turfway Park and Delta Downs, producing a +15% +ROI.
We had four exactas: $30.20, $48.60, $30.00, and $38.80.
I have hit them pretty good at Charles Town the past couple of nights, and we will add the West Virginia track into the mix for Friday night along with Delta Downs.
Two nights in a row listening to Turfway Park track announcer Mike Battaglia left me with a ringing headache, so we will give that track a break for tonight.
Charles Town Race 2
#6 Your in for Half dueled for the early lead and faded to finish seventh last out in the mud at Philly. The gelding had been stabled at Hawthorne for a sharp barn in Rivelli. Two back the gelding went gate to wire to break his maiden at Mountaineer. The cut back to 4 ½ furlongs should suit and this barn is very good with two year olds.

Charles Town Race 6
#7 Owen Meany was a much the best winner last out against $5K non winners of two in ’09 or non winners of four in life at Laurel park in the slop. It was the third win for this guy since the Wolf Man claimed him for $12.5K at Del Park last October. His lone go over the main track here was four back when he was a close up third versus Alw-1 company. Looks capable of winning right back for one of our favorite barns.

Charles Town Race 7
#1 Warlocked checked in second last out while drifting out in the stretch, finishing ahead of four he faces again today. I like the jock switch from the five-pound bug to Dunks, who should be able to finish stronger on this colt today and get the job done.

Delta Downs Race 7
#9 High Hopes Anita was not much f a threat last out in a sixth place finish against open $5K non-winners of two off a two-month break. The runner up in the race was Doc of the Bay, who was put up via a DQ to beat state bred $5K non-winners of two in her next outing on Dec. 11. Two back our top pick ran a good second behind Betterthanfiction, who beat $3.5K non winners of three in her next start on Sept. 4 at Evangeline Downs. She is back in with state breds here and while she has a habit of landing in the bottom half of the exacta, she looks like she can beat this group.

Delta Downs Race 8
#10 Texas Birdstone is one of two in here sent out by the Amoss barn. The colt has a couple of restricted stakes wins on his résumé and the switch back to dirt should suit. Last out in his turf debut he prompted the early pace and tried to finish fifth. The winner of the race was Humble Smarty, who returned to beat $15K starter allowance company in his next start on Dec. 5 at Remington Park. The colt has a win over the main track here and figures to move forward with the barn switch.

Delta Downs Race 9
#6 War Veteran has a few too many losses for my liking, but we will give him one more look here as he looks like he may have found a field he can beat. He returns off a two month freshening, last out a game second against state bred Alw-2L company. That race has produced three next out winners. The extra furlong should suit him, and he should be sitting off what likely is going to be a lively pace.

Delta Downs Race 10
#3 Little Diddle returns off a seven week break and one of her better efforts in a fourth place finish at this tag. The three runners that finished ahead of her all came back to win their next starts. Two back at Louisiana Downs she ran a decent second, no match for a 12 length winner while the third place finisher Goofy Take My Hand came back to graduate for a $20K tag on Nov. 4 at Delta. She has some tactical speed and figures to in the mix early against this slow looking group.

Good luck today!
