More Than a Reason wins Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) -More Than a Reason surged past Wishful Tomcat, the 2-5 favorite, to pull off the upset Sunday in the $50,350 allowance feature at Aqueduct.
As usual, Wishful Tomcat was on the lead in a bid for a fifth straight win. He carried the field until the final eighth of mile when More Than a Reason, the longest shot in the five-horse field at 12-1, stormed by for a 4 3/4-length win. Angel Serpa was aboard for trainer Randi Persaud as the 5-year-old ran the 1 1-16 miles on the fast track in 1:44.19.
More Than a Reason paid $26.80, $4.60 and $3.20. Wishful Tomcat returned $2.30 and $2.10. Lord Justice paid $3.60 to show.
