Boston Celtics at Denver Nuggets

The Celtics and Nuggets are the two favorites to win the NBA championship in June as it looks like a collision course that these two powers will meet for the title.

Boston owns the best record in the NBA at 48-13, but the Celtics saw their 11-game winning streak disappear in Tuesday's 105-104 loss at Cleveland. The Celtics threw away a 22-point lead as their 8-game road hot streak also came to an end.

The Nuggets sit behind the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder for the top spot in the Western Conference. Denver has posted a 42-20 record, which is actually one game off the pace from last season when the Nuggets eventually won their first title.

Like the Celtics, the Nuggets are coming off a loss that ended a substantial winning streak. Phoenix tripped up Denver on Tuesday, 117-107 in overtime to snap a 6-game hot stretch for the Nuggets.

Denver handed Boston its first home loss of the season in mid-January, 102-100. Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic combined for 69 points in the win, while Boston stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown made only 2 three-pointers in 17 attempts.

Boston has lost consecutive games once this season, which came back in early November at Minnesota and Philadelphia.

Tonight marks the third time this season that the Celtics are listed as an underdog, as Boston split in its first two opportunities at Milwaukee and Sacramento.

Chicago Bulls at Golden State Warriors

CHI @ GS Odds

  • Opening Point-Spread: Warriors -8
  • Opening Money-Line: Warriors -350
  • Opening Total: 223
  • Time: 10:00 p.m. ET

The Bulls staved off the Jazz on Wednesday, 119-117 as Chicago failed to cover as 4-point road favorites. DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 29 points as Chicago knocked down 17-of-39 three-point attempts.

The Warriors bounced back from Sunday's embarrassing loss at Boston by beating the Milwaukee Bucks, 125-90 as 3-point home favorites last night. Stephen Curry drilled 6 three-pointers as he paced the Warriors with 29 points.

The Bulls have won four of their last five games with no rest, capped off by a wild overtime victory over the Cavaliers on February 28.

Golden State has responded well on the second end of a back-to-back recently by winning four straight games, including the last two victories by double-digits.

In the first matchup between these teams at the United Center in mid-January, the Bulls squandered a 13-point halftime lead in a 140-131 loss to the Warriors.

Golden State outscored Chicago, 48-20 in the 3rd quarter to put the game out of reach, as Klay Thompson scored 30 points in the win.

The Bulls have covered four straight games as a road underdog, including outright victories at New Orleans and Sacramento.
