UPDATE 5:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: After opening -5, Houston is 5.5-point chalk in TwinSpires Sportsbook's Big 12 Tournament odds market. Spread ticket count is running 2/1 and spread money 3/1 on the Cougars.

"The public is in love with Houston spread and moneyline. Iowa State is a big need for us," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said.

The total climbed from 121.5 to 123.5, with 53% of tickets/60% of money on the Over.

UPDATE MIDNIGHT ET FRIDAY: Houston (30-3 SU/16-15-2 ATS) ran away from No. 4 seed Texas Tech with a 50-point second half. That propelled the Cougars to an 82-59 victory as 11.5-point favorites Friday.

Houston is on an 11-0 SU tear and has covered three in a row, following a 2-7-1 ATS slide.

Iowa State (26-7 SU/21-10-2 ATS) dispatched No. 3 seed Baylor 76-62 laying 1.5 points. The Cyclones are 6-1 SU in their last seven games (4-3 ATS).

Houston and Iowa State split their regular-season meetings SU, with the Cyclones going 1-0-1 ATS.

Late tonight, FanDuel Sportsbook opened Houston -4.5 (-120) on the Big 12 Tournament odds board. There's been no movement thus far.
