GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Jeremy Underwood had 16 points and Thomas Coleman added 14 points and 13 rebounds as North Carolina A&T upset Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference-leading Hampton 74-63 on Monday night.
The Aggies (12-14, 7-5) snapped Hampton's four-game winning streak and avenged an 82-77 loss on Jan. 17 on the Pirates' home court.
Kwame Morgan led Hampton (19-6, 9-3) with 27 points on 10-of-21 shooting, including 7 of 12 from 3-point range. But his teammates combined to make only 12 of 43 shots (27.9 percent), including only one 3-pointer in 12 tries.
Charles Funches had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Hampton. North Carolina A&T also got 13 points from Adrian Powell.
The Aggies redoubled their efforts on the boards since rebounding cost them a double-digit, second-half lead in a loss to Maryland-Eastern Shore a week ago. Led by Coleman, they outrebounded the Pirates 45-35.
