CLEVELAND (AP) - Justin Masterson hasn't won a game in over a month, and the once red-hot Cleveland Indians are struggling to get out of their first real slide of the season.

Masterson allowed four runs in 6 1-3 innings while the Indians' offense managed just five hits as Cleveland lost for the seventh time in 10 games, falling 11-2 to Texas on Friday night.

The Indians fell to 13-14 since May 3 and have lost four straight at home, but manager Manny Acta isn't pushing the panic button.

``I feel good,' he said. ``Hey, we've won two out of the last four, .500. Not bad. That's the way I look at it. We just won two good ballgames in Toronto and lost two over here. We're the only team in our division playing at least .500 on the road.'

The Indians remain in first in the AL Central, leading Detroit by 4 1/2 games, the same margin they had when their recent struggles began.

``We're going through a rough spot like everybody else,' Acta said. ``I'm very thankful we still haven't gone through one of those long stretches, and we want to keep it that way.'

Masterson (5-4) hasn't won since defeating Kansas City at home on April 26.

``It has nothing to do with Justin,' Acta said. ``He can only pitch. He allows two to three runs; you still have to score runs, you have to catch the ball behind him. It's a team game. We still have to score, still have to catch the ball and run the bases.'

Alexi Ogando (6-0) pitched eight innings for Texas, surrendering one run and four hits.

``Ogando overmatched us,' Acta said. ``He was very tough. We couldn't do much against him. We've been overmatched a couple of times. It's part of the game. Some of those guys are going to do that to you. And we have hit a few good guys, too.'

Josh Hamilton hit a three-run homer and Nelson Cruz added a two-run shot in a five-run seventh that gave the Rangers a 7-1 lead.

After Masterson yielded a one-out walk to Ian Kinsler and a single to Elvis Andrus, left-hander Tony Sipp gave up both homers. Adrian Beltre's double to right that Shin-Soo Choo lost in the twilight preceded Cruz's 11th homer of the season.

Cleveland lost to Texas for the 10th time in 11 games at Progressive Field. The Rangers have won 14 of 17 games against the Indians overall, covering the last three seasons.

``It's one of those baseball things,' Texas manager Ron Washington said. ``The past couple of years they've been young. Now those kids are becoming stars. The past two nights we've played some good baseball. I just hope we can continue it because at any moment they can rise up.'

Andrus had four hits to pace a 19-hit Texas attack. He also had three RBIs, and Hamilton finished with three hits.

Cleveland's best chance against Ogando came in the sixth when singles by Michael Brantley and Asdrubal Cabrera put runners at first and third to start the inning. Ogando then got Choo to hit into a double play, with Brantley scoring, and struck out Carlos Santana to end the inning.

Cabrera homered in the ninth.

Cleveland third baseman Jack Hannahan was scratched because of a sore left hamstring. He was replaced by Adam Everett.

NOTES: Rangers OF Julio Borbon was activated from the disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Round Rock. He had been out since mid-May with a strained hamstring. ... Indians RHP Alex White (sore middle finger) has been sent to extended spring training to begin a rehab program. He's expected to miss about 10 more weeks. ... 1B Nick Johnson, signed by the Indians to a minor league contract in February, has been activated from extended spring training and joined Double-A Akron. Johnson had wrist surgery last season.
