Recap: Ducks , Flames
Date: February 13, 2010 10:00 PM EDT

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -Jarome Iginla headed off to the Olympics on a scoring spree.

Iginla scored twice in the second period, and Miikka Kiprusoff made 26 saves in the Calgary Flames' 3-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night.

Iginla gave the Flames a 2-1 lead at 2:42 of the second, and added his 27th goal of the season with 6:02 left in the period. He has six goals in his last 10 games after scoring just once in his previous 15 games.

``We had a lot of shots and we had a lot of quality scoring chances,' Iginla said. ``It's a good way to go into the break.'

Both goals came against Jonas Hiller, the goalie Iginla will likely face Thursday night when Canada plays Switzerland in the Olympics.

``Nobody on our team played to their best level - me included,' Hiller said. ``I could have stopped at least one of the goals that they scored.'

Troy Bodie opened the scoring for Anaheim, and Eric Nystrom tied it with 3:18 left in the first period.

Ducks coach Randy Carlyle was disappointed about the lack of traffic his team generated in front of Kiprusoff.

``Anytime you're not in the goalie's face and screening him and getting those second and third opportunities, then he's having an easy night,' Carlyle said. ``You're not going to score on many NHL goalies from the blue line if he can see the puck all the time.'

Nystrom had not scored in 43 games dating to Nov. 14.

``The best feeling in the world,' Nystrom said. ``Honestly, when you see that puck in the back of the net after a long drought, it's a great feeling.'

NOTES: Anaheim will finish its pre-Olympic schedule Sunday in Edmonton. ... Hiller made 35 stops for Anaheim. ... Calgary activated LW Nigel Dawes and RW David Moss from injured reserve and they played on a line centered by rookie Mikael Backlund.
