Michael Smith, Zack Novelli and Kevin Tregoning make up the 3 man team behind The Degenerates. The trio met in college and have a combined 15+ years of handicapping experience. 3 diehard sports fans, each of them is extremely passionate about all things sports gambling. In college, the trio would talk extensively about betting and would advise other students on bets. In January 2020, they decided to take their talents to social media and started a Twitter page that now has 50,000 followers.
Based in Pittsburgh, the group believes the best handicapping strategy is a mix of quantitative data and what you see with your eyes. The trio has a background in data analytics that they use to make smarter wagers. The group also played college lacrosse and know what players/teams go through over the course of a season. The guys believe profiting in sports betting is a long term game, and preach you can never get too high after wins or too low after losses.
