Jimmy Butler Tops the List of Most Fined NBA Players
Jimmy Butler was the most fined NBA player in the 2024/25 season, racking up a whopping $5.69 million across just three infractions. This eye-watering total ranks as the fourth-largest single-season fine in the past decade, with the bulk likely stemming from a major incident or suspension.
Butler was followed by Bobby Portis, who lost nearly $2.87 million due to five violations. Joel Embiid, Anthony Edwards, and Isaiah Stewart rounded out the top five.
Interestingly, Anthony Edwards and Dillon Brooks both had over 20 infractions, yet their total fines were significantly lower than Butler’s, highlighting how the nature of the infraction can drastically impact the fine amount.

The Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, and Golden State Warriors round out the top five. Notably, the Warriors had the highest number of infractions over the last decade at 528, though their total fine amount was lower than others on the list—suggesting frequent but lower-level penalties.
