2025 WNBA MVP Odds: Wilson Surges, Overtakes Collier as Favorite

2025 WNBA MVP Odds: Wilson Surges, Overtakes Collier as Favorite

WNBA MVP odds are now off the board, but the award winner won't be announced until sometime during the playoffs. And there was a change at the top late in the regular season.

In late May, Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier took over as the favorite in odds to win WNBA MVP. But Las Vegas Aces standout A'Ja Wilson, the 2024 MVP, took the favorite's mantle by the end of the regular season, making a huge late surge during a 16-game win streak.

LATEST UPDATE: On Aug. 27, Collier was a solid -650 favorite in BetMGM's WNBA MVP odds, with Wilson the +425 second choice. But a week later, the numbers saw a quantum shift.

On Sept. 4, Collier and Wilson went head-to-head in Las Vegas. Wilson went off for 31 points and eight rebounds, while Collier had just 12 points. The Aces won 97-87, their 13th consecutive victory in a streak that's now at 16 entering the postseason.

At that point, BetMGM made a huge move, with Wilson and Collier nearly deadlocked as favorites. And when odds closed after the Sept. 11 regular-season finish, Wilson was -130 chalk and Collier the even-money second choice.

Every other contender was off the board by that point.

Wilson is going for her second straight MVP award and fourth overall. Meanwhile, Collier has No. 1 seed Minnesota favored in WNBA Finals odds, with Las Vegas the No. 2 choice.

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, out with injuries since July 15, was taken off the board in August.
