After finishing 11^th in the East with a record of 31-41 SU last year, Chicago bounced back with a surprisingly triumphant start to this season, as the Bulls opened with an impressive 26-10 SU and 22-14 ATS run, while allowing just 106.9 DPPG to their opponents during that timeframe.

Unfortunately, Chicago has been decimated by health issues since mid-January, considering the Bulls closed the regular season with a bumpy 20-26 SU and 20-25-1 ATS skid, while surrendering 115.6 DPPG during that span.

On the other hand, Milwaukee posted a surprisingly poor start to the season, as the Bucks kicked things off with a lackluster 6-8 SU and ATS skid, with four of those SU losses coming in matchups they were favored in.

However, the Bucks have quietly dominated since their brief opening skid, considering Milwaukee enters Game 5 riding a sturdy 49-24 SU and 35-38 ATS run – while yielding lofty averages of 116.6 OPPG and 112.2 DPPG across that window.

I’ll take the under here, as the first four matchups of this series all stayed under at an average of 202.3 PPG, and while at least one squad has scored 110+ PTS in three of those matchups, the pace should ultimately slow down as Chicago tries to avoid elimination on the road in Game 5.

The Bulls stalled out due to various health concerns down the stretch though, considering Chicago enters Tuesday’s Game 5 riding a miserable 21-29 SU and 22-27-1 ATS skid, with a decent chunk of those SU losses coming in the absence of LaVine (8), and all of them coming without Lonzo (28).

After finishing with the best record in the East in two of the last three seasons, Milwaukee’s rough start was somewhat of a head-scratcher, considering the Bucks’ compiled a record of 162-65 SU across the previous three regular seasons, only to open this season with a lackluster 6-8 SU skid.

Milwaukee has played excellent, when healthy, since mid-November though, considering the Bucks enter Game 5 riding a sturdy 49-24 SU stretch, with a huge chunk of those losses coming in the absence of two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (8).
