NBA Playoff Props for Sunday, May 22

Prop betting expert Stuart Durst gives his top prop bets to consider for NBA Playoffs action on Sunday, May 22. Check out his top play for the hardwood action below.

  • Steph Curry (GSW) Over 5.5 Rebounds (-120) at FanDuel
  • Andrew Wiggins (GSW) Over 13.5 Points + Luka Doncic (DAL) Over 0.5 Steals (-130) at DraftKings

Steph Curry (GSW) Over 5.5 Rebounds (-120)

In game 1, he recorded 12 rebounds despite only playing around 31 of the 40 minutes he was likely to see without a blowout. In game two, he recorded 8 rebounds, playing 37 minutes despite dealing with some serious foul trouble. Curry played the Mavericks 4 times during the regular season, and averaged 7.8 rebounds In those games. He has 8+ rebounds in 4 of 6 total games agianst the Mavericks, who clearly arent the best rebounding team. Wiggins is someone who has been very active on the boards during the playoffs, but being out on the perimeter guarding Luka is opening up more opportunities for others. Looney is another example of a guy knowing his role, which helps this prop. Centers across the league try to fill the stat sheets as much as possible, but in reality, letting the guard grab the rebounds over the center is very advantageous to an efficient transition offense. Warriors have talked up the importance of holding the rebound advantage and Curry is clearly leading by example. I understand this is going to be a slower game, with a lot of defenses, but I still think the number is too low.

Andrew Wiggins (GSW) Over 13.5 Points + Luka Doncic (DAL) Over 0.5 Steals (-130)

Yesterday night Jeff Van Gundy said that this might be the most aggressive he's ever seen Andrew Wiggins play, and I agree. Wiggins scored 16 and 19 points in these first two games, and should continue to get favorable matchups against Luka Doncic. The Mavericks are doing their best to hide Luka on defense due to the extreme offensive weight he has to carry, but when the Warriors have Curry, Klay, and Poole, someone is always going to be able to take advantage of that. Wiggins averaged 17.2 points on the regular season, and he should be playing with some great confidence coming into this game. Luka Doncic has 1+ steal in 10 of 12 playoff games (8 straight) and 2+ in 8 of those games. He's expected to continue to see 38+ minutes, and with that kind of workload I'm going to keep riding with Luka here. Both of these guys have been very consistent this postseason, I expect that to continue in a very important game 3.
