NBA Conference Finals Series Odds
No. 5 Dallas Mavericks vs No. 3 Minnesota Timberwolves Odds

UPDATE 5:45 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Minnesota had home-court advantage in the Western Conference finals. That didn't hold up at all, with Dallas winning Games 1 and 2 on the road, then claiming Game 3 at home.
The Timberwolves finally climbed into the series in Tuesday's Game 4. Minnesota held on for a 105-100 win as 1.5-point road underdogs.
Prior to Game 4, BetMGM had Dallas -2500/Minnesota +1100 in Mavericks vs Timberwolves series odds. With the T-Wolves finally getting a win and being at home for Game 5, the series price shortened all the way to Mavs -550/Wolves +425.
BetMGM has been rooting for Dallas all along, but doesn't want to see the Western Conference finals end too soon. Particularly since Boston already swept Indiana in the Eastern Conference finals. The NBA Finals don't start until June 6, and Egeland wants bettors to have something to wager on.
"The public still seems to believe in the Wolves. More money is coming in on the T-Wolves to come back and win the series at +425," BetMGM trader Hal Egeland said. "We'll be relieved should the Mavericks win tonight. But as I mentioned previously, an extra game would benefit us overall.
"Dallas in six would be great. We definitely don't want to see a Game 7 in Minnesota."
In Mavericks vs. Timberwolves Game 5 odds, Minnesota opened -4.5 (-105) late Tuesday night at BetMGM. The line quickly adjusted to T-Wolves -4.5 flat, and it's now -4.5 (-115).
BetMGM opened the moneyline at Wolves -185/Mavs +150 and is now at Wolves -200/Mavs +165.
"The public likes the Mavs on both the spread and the moneyline tonight. And to no surprise, they're backing the Over again," Egeland said. "We'd love a low-scoring game. But I think we can find positives from either team winning tonight.
"If the Mavs win, we clear out our T-Wolves liability. If the T-Wolves win, we do well for tonight's game and give the bettors another game to bet."
The total opened at 209.5 and has only seen the price toggle between flat/Over -115/Under -115. It's currently 209.5 (Under -115).
