Ohio Senate Election Odds on Polymarket: Top Trading Contracts
Polymarket prices every contract between 1¢ and 99¢, which maps directly onto implied probability and turns the Ohio Senate odds into a simple percentage; a "Yes" share pays out $1.00 if the outcome hits and nothing if it doesn't, and positions can be sold back to the market before the race is called.
The Ohio Senate Election Winner market covers the November 3 special election to fill the remainder of the term, and the board lists results as expected at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
One methodology note: Polymarket only posts a Yes price for each candidate on this board, so the No prices below are backed into by mirroring each candidate against the opponent's own Yes quote. Because minor-party and independent candidates have appeared in multi-candidate polling, treat those derived No prices as close approximations rather than exact quotes.
Sherrod Brown (YES 71¢ / NO 30¢)
Brown is the clear favorite at 71¢, an implied 71% chance, and the Ohio Senate odds on this board, including its Lean D tag, line up with how the public polling has moved. The former three-term senator lost his seat to Bernie Moreno by slightly over 3.5 points in 2024, yet a late-October Fox News poll of likely voters had him ahead 52-47, and a CNN survey earlier in the month had him up 49-43.
The Sherrod Brown odds also reflect the ground game. Ohio's early in-person turnout ran at nearly four times the 2022 pace in the first week of voting, and a CNN analysis found Democrats making up a larger share of early voters than they did in 2024.
Jon Husted (YES 30¢ / NO 71¢)
Husted trades at 30¢, an implied 30% chance, and the Jon Husted odds still carry real weight because the closing polls are tighter than the market. The RealClearPolitics average, spanning October 5 to October 30, had Brown ahead by only 2.4 points, 48.4 to 46.0, and a Rasmussen survey from mid-October had Husted up 49-47.
Money cuts both ways. Brown has out-raised Husted at the candidate level, $61.6 million to $19.2 million per FEC figures reported by FOX19, but NBC4 reported far more outside spending on Husted's side, $198.5 million against $94.7 million for Brown.

Kalshi Ohio Senate Odds: Sherrod Brown Odds and Jon Husted Odds
Kalshi runs the Ohio Senate odds as a regulated event contract priced the same way, from 1¢ to 99¢, with each Yes share paying $1.00 if it hits.
The contract is titled "Ohio Senate winner?" for the November 3 special election and resolves by winning party.
Kalshi's board here displays each candidate's chance of winning, so the Yes prices below follow those 71% and 29% readings and the No sides mirror the opponent's Yes. Treat the No prices as approximations, since separate order books can leave a cent or so between one candidate's No and the other's Yes.
Sherrod Brown (YES 71¢ / NO 29¢)
Kalshi matches Polymarket at 71¢ for Brown, and its D +3.7 margin forecast is a bit wider than the 2.4-point RealClearPolitics average. The chart shows how far this board has traveled: Husted was the favorite for most of the cycle, Brown overtook him in the spring, and Kalshi's own coverage had Brown near 60% in mid-October before the climb to 71%.
Early turnout has been the fuel for that move in the Sherrod Brown odds, with well over 1 million Ohioans having cast ballots before the final weekend of early voting.
Jon Husted (YES 29¢ / NO 71¢)
Husted sits at 29¢ here, a cent below Polymarket's 30¢, as the Jon Husted odds absorb a difficult favorability picture. The late-October Fox News poll had his rating underwater by 13 points while Brown's was positive by 2, and President Trump's approval stood at 36% in CNN's Ohio survey.
Republicans are counting on Election Day turnout and late-breaking voters, since GOP voters tend to wait to cast ballots, which is why the Jon Husted odds have not fallen further.

How Polymarket and Kalshi Compare on the Husted vs. Brown Odds
The two boards are nearly identical. Brown sits at YES 71¢ on both Polymarket and Kalshi, while Husted is at YES 30¢ on Polymarket and YES 29¢ on Kalshi, a one-cent gap that sits well inside normal order-book noise.
The derived No prices follow the same pattern: Brown's No is NO 30¢ on Polymarket and NO 29¢ on Kalshi, and Husted's No is NO 71¢ on both. Because neither board shows a separately quoted No on these screens, the one-cent difference reflects a mirrored price, not a disagreement about who wins.
The difference is in presentation. Kalshi pairs its price with a D +3.7 margin forecast, a figure that goes beyond the winner market, while Polymarket labels the race Lean D and lists the expected result time. Traders comparing the Husted vs. Brown odds across both exchanges are looking at one consensus, not two competing views, and the Husted vs. Brown odds barely move from one board to the other.
Ohio Senate Election Odds Price Analysis: Market Price Influencers
The clearest tension on either board is between the polls and the price. The RealClearPolitics average has Brown up 2.4 points, and the closest recent surveys are tighter still, with YouGov showing Brown ahead 50-48 from October 26 to October 29 and InsiderAdvantage at 49-47 on October 29 and 30, yet 71¢ implies roughly a 7-in-10 chance.
The market appears to be leaning on the details beneath the toplines, and the Ohio Senate odds have moved with them. The Fox News poll found voters who say their finances are worse favor Brown by 49 points, an 18-point gender gap with women backing Brown by 14, and more Republican crossover to Brown, 9%, than Democratic crossover to Husted, 2%.
Ratings have not settled the matter. RealClearPolitics still lists the contest as a Toss Up, and Cook Political Report moved it to Toss Up back in April, so the Ohio Senate election odds are running ahead of the analyst consensus.
What could still reprice the board is Election Day itself. With early ballots already banked and Republicans leaning on late turnout, the split of Tuesday's vote after the 7:30 p.m. ET poll close is the last big variable, and a late Husted-friendly county report could move both exchanges quickly.

Sherrod Brown Odds and Jon Husted Odds: Final Thoughts
This is a market with a clear favorite and a real underdog, and the Husted vs. Brown odds show it. Brown is priced near 71¢ on both exchanges, so the Sherrod Brown odds are firm, backed by early-vote turnout, favorability and a late polling edge, while Husted at 29¢ to 30¢ is priced as a live threat in a state that handed Donald Trump an 11-point win in 2024.
Both exchanges land within a cent of each other on the Ohio Senate election odds, so the one variable to watch is Tuesday's Election Day turnout against the early vote that is already in.
