Home Runs Odds
Brent Rooker to Hit a Home Run (+425 | bet365) vs. (SP: Shane Baz)
For today’s first pick of July, we’ll take on a dinger fan favorite over the past two seasons in Brent Rooker.
Rooker is one of the rare batters who displays power against both righties and lefties, as he’s hit 12 of his 17 home runs against right-handed pitchers, including a formidable .454 SLG.
On the bump, he’ll face Shane Baz, who is actually giving up more power against right-handed bats.
On the year, Baz is allowing a staggering 1.54 HR/9, as well as a .425 SLG. It also doesn’t hurt to target guys playing in this minor-league ballpark.
Ben Rice to Hit a Home Run (+400 | FanDuel) vs. (SP: Kevin Gausman)
This afternoon, the Yankees take on the Blue Jays in a pivotal AL East showdown, as Toronto trails the Bronx Bombers by just two games.
For our second pick, we’re going with Ben Rice, who has experienced a bit of a breakout in 2025. As a lefty, Rice has been much better against righties with a .497 SLG and 143 wRC+.
On the mound is Kevin Gausman. Although Gausman has been serviceable, he’s not what he once was. Gausman has been a great guy to target, specifically against lefties, as he is relinquishing 1.46 HR/9 against the same side.
Matt Olson to Hit a Home Run (+300 | FanDuel) vs. (SP: Tyler Anderson)
For our third and final pick, we’ll target a rare lefty-on-lefty matchup.
However, in this case, it is advantageous with both splits. Matt Olson has equally impressive power numbers against lefties, with a 132 wRC+ and a ridiculous .519 SLG. Although he strikes out much more frequently against left-handers, this is something he won’t have to worry about against Tyler Anderson.
According to Baseball Savant, Anderson is in just the 18th percentile in generating strikeouts. Generally speaking, Anderson has been solid at limiting power but has, interestingly enough, struggled much more against left-handed bats.
Against that side, Anderson has allowed 7 home runs in just 23.1 innings pitched (2.70 HR/9) and a .634 SLG.
