FanDuel Daily Dinger Promotion Explained: New Home Run Promotion

FanDuel, the North American sportsbook and daily fantasy sports provider, has announced the launch of Daily Dinger for the 2026 MLB season. This new promotion is a free-to-play game designed to operate alongside the operator's established, wagering-based "Dinger Tuesday" offer, effectively expanding their baseball home run marketing efforts.

The Mechanics of Daily Dinger

Unlike FanDuel’s previous high-profile promotions that require a qualifying real-money wager, Daily Dinger is accessible to all customers with a verified and active FanDuel account without a purchase or entry fee. The game's mechanics are straightforward:

  1. Selection: Users must log in to the FanDuel Sportsbook platform and navigate to the Daily Dinger section.
  2. Pick: From the available slate of MLB games scheduled for that specific day, users must select exactly one player they believe will hit a home run (or select no players to hit a homerun)
  3. Frequency: Participation is limited to one entry per user per day throughout the MLB regular season.

You can use our comprehensive list of homerun odds to help you make a decision on who to pick for your Daily Dinger promotion.

Payout and Reward Structure

If the user’s chosen player hits a official home run (as recognized by MLB statistics) in that day’s game, the user is declared a winner. If you select none of those players to hit a homerun and a homerun is not hit by that day's players, you are a winner.

The reward for a correct pick in Daily Dinger is a Profit Boost Token. This profit boost token is usually a 50% boost for the next day.

Profit Boost Details

  • Utilization: Profit Boost Tokens are not cash and cannot be withdrawn. They are credited to the user’s account and must be applied to a future wager on an MLB event (specifically, a bet with odds of -200 or greater, such as -110, +150, etc.).
  • Payout: When a user applies the Profit Boost Token to a qualifying MLB wager and that wager wins, the token increases the profit payout by a set percentage (the exact percentage may vary throughout the season, but often hovers around 25-50%).
  • Restrictions: Profit Boost Tokens generated by Daily Dinger usually have a set expiration date (e.g., 24 hours or 7 days from issuance) and must be used within that timeframe or they are forfeited. Only one Profit Boost Token can be used per single bet slip.

How I Use The Daily Dinger Promotion

When I am considering how to use my daily dinger promotion, I normally select none of the players to hit a homerun. I am a contrarian at heart, and choosing this is the best way to take advantage of this promotion mathematically.

However, I know that choosing no one to hit a homerun is no fun. You can check FanDuel's homerun odds for each player and select the player that has the shortest odds.

I have won this promotion before and was awarded with a 50% profit boost token which I was able to use the next day on an MLB player prop.

Distinct from Dinger Tuesday

It is important for users to differentiate Daily Dinger from FanDuel’s marquee "Dinger Tuesday" promotion, as they operate under different parameters and payout structures.

Daily Dinger represents an effort by FanDuel to increase daily engagement with their platform by offering a no-cost entry path that still incentivizes the operator’s core "Home of the Home Run" betting market.
