San Diego Padres ML (-132)

This season, there have been 12 instances in which the road team from Sunday Night Baseball has played the following day in a new city. Those teams enter play this evening 2-10 SU, and 0-10 SU if we exclude two games in which the Dodgers were (-225) and (-165) favorites, respectively. In fact, underdogs in this tough travel spot are winless in their last 6 opportunities, dating back to 2024. Factor in that Edwin Diaz and Reed Garrett could be unavailable on Monday, and it becomes easy to see how difficult the challenge is for the Mets tonight as they look to extend their 7-game winning streak.

UNDER 8 (-109)

Since the beginning of 2023, there have only been 5 ballparks less hitter-friendly in night games than Petco Park, and only 2 venues have been less conducive to offense for left-handed hitters. The Mets routinely have 6+ lefties in their lineup, which isn’t ideal in this matchup. The Padres usually have a more balanced lineup, but they are in a tough offensive spot tonight as well, coming across time zones from St. Louis, where they played over the weekend. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the bats for both of these teams struggle to begin the new week.

Francisco Lindor OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-105)

Francisco Lindor has been at his best against right-handed pitching this year, hitting .263 with a 128 wRC+. Following a dreadful 0-for-30 stretch, he’s been heating up across his last 4 games, hitting .333 with a 162 wRC+. He’s had a couple of barrels and some loud contact in that span as well, which is further evidence that he’s starting to see the ball well. Hitting near the top of the Mets lineup, and in front of Juan Soto, Lindor is always going to have a good chance to make a positive impact at the dish. His production isn’t dependent on home runs, either, which makes him less vulnerable to the negative park factors at play in San Diego.
