-- The Athletics are 14-0 SU in the first game of a home series with no rest when they are off a game as a favorite in which they allowed six-plus runs and it is before the All-Star break.

SU Play AGAINST Trend of the Day:

-- The Orioles are 0-18 SU as a 150-plus dog after a loss as a home dog in which they held the lead.

Batter-Based Trend of the Day:

-- The Rays are 0-7 SU off a home game in which Austin Meadows struck out at least twice and they were the favorite in all seven games.

Starter-Based Trend of the Day:

-- The Athletics are 7-0 SU in franchise history with Mike Fiers at home when they used five-plus pitchers yesterday. Oakland was the dog in four of the seven wins and Fiers has produced quality starts in each of the last six. Included among the seven wins is a 3-2 victory over Kershaw and a 1-0 win over Sale. In Fiers' last start in this spot as a member of the Tigers, Detroit beat the Red Sox 5-0.
