The Reds host the Cubs, and they continue to be a thorn in the side of their National League Central Division rivals. Cincinnati doubled up Chicago in the series opener on Friday night by a 6-3 score, and to make matters worse the Cubs saw LHP Cole Hamels check out in the first inning due to an injury. The Reds have picked up five wins in seven tries against the Cubs so far this season, including 3-1 in four games at home.

The Cubs roll out LHP Jose Quintana against RHP Luis Castillo in Game 2 of the series. The Cubs have dropped four in a row on the road and six straight overall. They're also 1-5 in Quintana's past six against teams with a losing record, while going 0-4 across his past four NL Central battles. The Cubs are also 2-9 in the past 11 road outings, while going 2-8 in the past 10 games vs. RHP on the road. In addition, the Cubs are 5-16 across their past 21 road games against teams with a winning home mark. 

 The Reds have rattled off home victories in five straight, while going 7-2 in the past nine outings against teams with a winning overall record. Cincinnati has posted five in a row at home against teams with a winning mark, too. As far as Castillo is concerned, the Reds are 14-6 over his past 20 home outings, and 4-1 in his past five at Great American Ball Park agaisnt teams with a winning mark. Cincinnati has picked up five wins in the past six meetings in this series, while going 7-1 in the past eight at GABP vs. the Cubs. The Reds are 5-2 over Castillo's past seven starts against the Cubbies, while the Cubs are just 1-4 in Quintana's past five starts against the Reds.

As far as the total is concerned, the under is 5-1 in Chicago's past six overall and 5-1 in their past six on the road vs. RHP. The under is also 4-1 in the past five for Chicago against divisional foes. The under has hit in seven of the past 10 road outings against teams with a losing overall mark. The under is 4-0 in the past four at home for the Reds, while going 22-6 in their past 28 vs. LHP. The under is also 16-5 in the past 21 starts by Castillo, while going 5-0 in his past five at home against clubs with a winning overall mark. The under is also 7-3 in the past 10 home outings overall by the Cincinnati ace. However, in this series, the over is 6-2 in Q's past eight starts against the Reds, while going 27-12-4 in the past 43 meetings overall in this series.

In late-night action, the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels square off in a southpaw battle. The A's use LHP Brett Anderson against LHP Tyler Skaggs of the Halos. The A's have won five of the past six games on the road, while winning eight of the past 11 games overall and seven of the past 10 against teams with a winning record. They're also 4-1 in the past five road contests vs. LHP. They're also 5-2 in Anderson's past seven starts overall, and 4-1 in the past five on the road. The Angels are 4-1 in the past five overall, and 5-1 in the past six games at home. They're also 5-0 in Skaggs' past five starts against a team with a winning record. However, they're 3-9 in the past 12 home game vs. LHP, and they're 2-5 in the past seven against AL West foes with Skaggs on the bump.

In this series, the A's are 1-5 in the past six road outings against the Halos, while the Angels are 0-4 in his past four at home against the A's and 1-4 in the past five overall against Oakland, so something's gotta give. The under is 2-0-2 in the past four road outings by Anderson against the Angels and 3-1-2 in his past six outings overall against the Halos. The under is 7-3 in the past 10 starts by Skaggs against the A's, too.

In Sunday's action, the Phillies have RHP Jake Arrieta against RHP Trevor Richards of the Marlins. The Phillies are 5-2 across the past seven starts by Arrieta. For the Marlins, they're just 2-8 in the past 10 home outings by Richards, while going 7-19 across the past 26 starts overall. The Marlins are also 1-7 in the past eight starts by Richards against the NL East, while going 1-6 in the past seven against teams with a winning overall mark.

The over has hit in five of the past six starts by Arrieta against the Marlins, while going 3-1-1 in his past five starts overall. The under is 11-5-1 in the past 17 starts on the road by Arrieta, however. The over is 6-2-1 in the past nine home games for the Marlins, while going 4-1-1 in the past six home outings by Richards and 3-1-1 in the past five against NL East foes. The Rockies snapped a 12-game losing streak to the Dodgers in Friday's game at Coors Field. L.A. will use LHP Clayton Kershaw on Sunday evening against RHP Jon Gray of the Rockies. Los Angeles has posted an 84-27 record across Kershaw's past 111 starts, and they're 37-15 in the past 52 starts away from home. They're also a sparkling 41-10 in his past 51 assignments inside the NL West. For the Rockies, they're 6-1 in Gray's past seven starts and 4-0 in his past four inside the division. They're also 4-1 in his past five home outings and 6-2 in the past eight against teams with a winning overall record.

As far as head-to-head, the Dodgers are 10-1 in Kershaw's past 11 outings against the Rockies at Coors Field, and 27-6 across his past 33 starts overall vs. Colorado. The Rockies are 5-2 in the past seven home starts by Gray against the Dodgers. The under is 6-0 in the past six home outings by Gray against the Dodgers, and 8-2 in his past 10 overall vs. L.A. The under is 4-0 in Kershaw's past four road assignments in Denver, while going 7-1 in his past eight starts overall against Colorado.

In the Sunday Night Baseball game, the Braves and Mets square off at Citi Field, and it's an attractive pitching matchup with LHP Max Fried and RHP Noah Syndergaard locking horns. The Braves are a perfect 5-0 across Fried's past five outings, 5-0 in his past five on the road and 5-0 in his past five starts on a Sunday, too. The Braves are also 5-2 in the past seven vs. NL East foes. The Mets are an impressive 11-5 in Syndergaard's past 16 home outings, while going 7-2 in his past nine at home against teams with a winning overall record, too. The Braves have cashed in six of the past eight at home vs. LHP, too.
