The Padres are 61-49 overall and 30-26 on the road, which positions San Diego second in the National League West standings and trails the division leading Los Angeles Dodgers by 14.5 games. San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Prediction

The Dodgers send LHP Tyler Anderson to the mound against San Diego’s 15th ranked scoring offense on Sunday night (4.41 RSPG), who’s having the best campaign of his seven-year career, considering he’s 12-1 with a 2.89 ERA across 20 appearances this season (1.03 WHIP), which is an enormous upgrade from his career 41-39 record and 4.35 ERA (1.27 WHIP).

On the flip side, the Padres send RHP Yu Darvish to the hill against L. A.’s top-ranked scoring offense tonight (5.30 RSPG), who’s also having an excellent campaign sitting 10-4 with a 3.30 ERA across 20 starts this season (0.99 WHIP), which is surprisingly solid after going 8-11 with a 4.22 ERA last season (1.09 WHIP).

I’ll back the Dodgers to cover here, as Darvish is 3-1 with a 3.52 ERA across his last seven starts for San Diego (1.04 WHIP), however, his one loss during that span was a miserable outing against Los Angeles (6 IP, 5 ER); setting the stage for an unfavorable matchup against the Dodgers and Anderson, who’s 3-0 with a 2.32 ERA across his last six appearances for L. A. (0.97 WHIP), which already includes a solid performance against the Padres (6.1 IP, 1 ER).

Score Prediction: Dodgers 6, Padres 3
Best Bet: Dodgers -1.5 (+150)
