The Guardians enter this matchup first in the AL Central standings with a three and a half game lead over the second place Minnesota Twins. Cleveland lost game one of this series 3-1 but have been playing solid baseball with a 20-13 SU record since returning from the All-Star break. The offense has been putting runs on the board, but have struggled throughout the season with a batting average of .252 (10th), on base percentage of .314 (17th), slugging percentage of .385 (18th) and 532 total runs (16th). Cleveland's bullpen has been great all season and have a WHIP of 1.20 (6th) and team ERA of 3.70 (8th).  

Seattle is currently third in the AL Wild Card race with a three and a half game lead over the Orioles and 12.0 games back from the Astros for first place of the AL West. The Mariners looked solid in Thursdays win over the Guardians and have won six of their last 10 games. The offense will need to step it up a notch if they hope to make a run into the postseason as they have been inconsistent throughout the season with a batting average of .231 (25th), on base percentage of .315 (15th), slugging percentage of .383 (20th) and 516 total runs.
