Week 13 of the NFL season continues with a matchup between a pair of struggling AFC squads as the New England Patriots host the Los Angeles Chargers. The betting odds see Los Angeles as a six-point road favorite despite riding a three-game losing streak. Coverage begins from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Sunday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS.

Los Angeles Chargers vs New England Patriots Odds

• Opening point spread: Chargers -5.5
• Opening moneyline: Chargers -265/Patriots +215
• Opening total: Over/Under 41.5 points scored
• Time: 1 p.m. ET Sunday (CBS)

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Los Angeles shifted from -5.5 to -6.5 to -5.5, then -6 Monday in BetMGM's NFL odds Week 13 market. On Wednesday, the Chargers fell back to -5.5, where the line remains this afternoon.

Spread tickets and money are in the 2.5/1 range on L.A.

The total bounced around throughout the week. BetMGM opened at 42.5, quickly went to 41.5 Sunday night and fell to 40 by Tuesday. Wednesday brought a brief rebound to 41.5, but by late afternoon, the number was at 40.5. And this morning, it fell to 40.

Practically all the early tickets and money are on the Under.

UPDATE 10 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Beyond a shadow of a doubt, New England is a terrible football team. The Patriots (2-9 SU and ATS) benched QB Mac Jones at halftime, but Bailey Zappe couldn't fuel a win against a lousy Giants outfit. New England lost 10-7 as 4.5-point road chalk.

Los Angeles (4-7 SU and ATS) was a playoff team last year, but is struggling to find that form this season. And the Chargers are running out of time. In the Week 12 Sunday nighter, L.A. lost to Baltimore 20-10 as a 3-point home pup.
