Super Bowl Consensus Picks

The matchup for Super Bowl LIII last February could have gone several different ways on conference championship Sunday, but the Patriots and Rams came through with road overtime victories. New England topped Los Angeles in an ugly Super Bowl triumph, but plenty of fans thought the Saints and Chiefs had a solid argument to play for the title in Atlanta.

Prior to last season, we polled our stable of handicappers and a handful of them predicted the Patriots and Rams to win their respective conferences. Expert Joe Nelson was the only handicapper to correctly project New England beating Los Angeles in the Super Bowl in the 2018 NFL Consensus Picks.

Looking ahead to the 2019 campaign, eight handicappers predicted a Chiefs/Saints Super Bowl, while none of the experts believe it will be a repeat matchup between the Patriots and Rams.

The last time two teams faced off in consecutive Super Bowls came back in 1992 and 1993 when the Cowboys beat the Bills in back-to-back years.

Below are the predictions from the VegasInsider.com NFL handicappers for the upcoming season for AFC champion, NFC champion, and Super Bowl winner.
